Rotary Moment

Since the Polio Plus program's inception in 1985, more than 25 billion children have received oral polio vaccine.  To date 211 countries, territories and areas around the world are polio free, and 134 of these have been certied polio free.  As of June 2012, Rotary had commited more than 1.2 billion dollars to global polio eradication. 

In 1985 there were more than 350,000 polio cases in over 125 countries. So far this year we've had 2 reported cases in one colountry. (Pakistan)
